The event features two programs, "Global Sourcing Meeting" and "Taoyuan Trade Mission". Another program "Taoyuan Trade Mission" focused on Taoyuan’s strategic industries such as Internet of Things, green energy, intelligent automotive, and medical equipment. 25 leading companies from these industries were invited to join the full-day one-on-one online meetings with potential customers around the world. About 200 business matchmaking discussions were held on October 14. It is forecasted to reach a potential order of NT$6 billion after the event.

Global trade continues to be affected by the pandemic, making it difficult for companies to expand overseas markets. Taoyuan city government hopes to assist local companies in promoting their outstanding R&D and production capabilities through the annual international conference. The city government is planning to build Taoyuan city as a global manufacturing hub for information communication technology, green energy and the Internet of things.

This year, there are several top global companies joined the matchmaking conference, including Applied Co., Ltd, one of the top three electronics and appliance stores in Japan; Memory Express, Inc., a leading distribution company of computer product in Canada; Transfer Multisort Elektronik, Poland's largest distributor of electronic components; Pioneer Computers, a leading brand of information and communication products in Australia, and Wing Yip, the largest Chinese supermarket chain in the UK. It shows that Taoyuan companies’ excellent technical skills and manufacturing quality have gained international attention. More than 20 leading local companies joined the event to meet with international buyers, such as Tatung, FSP Technology, Celxpert Energy Corporation, BenQ Materials, Mediland Enterprise Corporation, from industries including information and communications, green energy, and medical equipment.

This event included a series of keynote speeches in seminar "2022 Insight on Post-covid-19 Economic Trends and New Southbound Market Opportunities", inviting experts from Taiwan Institute of Economic Research, TAITRA and Huaguang Technology to share the economic trends and potential business opportunities after COVID-19 pandemic.

Taoyuan City, with an annual industrial output value of nearly 3 trillion NT dollars, is the largest industrial city in Taiwan. It is positioning itself to be an hub for technology and innovation. The enthusiastic participation at the business matchmaking event shows that Taoyuan has achieved remarkable results in the development of "The Asia Silicon Valley Development Plan" and continues to thrive.
